Getting There . . .

Happy Pre-Saratoga Season!

Once we hit July, it's only weeks from the first race at Saratoga -- so enjoy the build up to the greatest racing event in the country!  For Bliss Racing, it looks like we'll definitely have a horse racing at the track this summer, which is very good news indeed.  Prima Attrice ran well on June 29 and appears she will be competitive at the level she has been competing during the Saratoga race meet -- she finished fourth in a nice effort and we're hoping with a better trip, she'll improve on that and possibly get us to the winner's circle at the Spa! (We can dream, right?)

Anyway, here are a few photos of the lovely Prima Attrice -- or Pete as we've called her since she was a baby -- from her last start at Belmont. As you can see from the photos, she is doing very well physically, and we hope her racing success will soon match her looks:

She is a close up 4th . . .

She sure is pretty -- a little tired after the race, but man does she look good!

And if you've never been to Belmont Park, there's no denying it's as beautiful as any track around:

So, we're looking forward to Pete's next start, most likely during opening week at Saratoga -- thanks to all the partners for sticking with her.  She most certainly has been a long-term project and it looks like she may just get us a couple of races at Saratoga!

Our other current runner is Crawfish Shorts, who finished 3rd at Finger Lakes in his last race -- and we'll be looking for him to start on Wednesday, July 5 -- with a little improvement, Shortie might get us that elusive W!  Speaking of wins, congratulations to our friend Tony who won with his horse Belle of the Spa yesterday at Belmont and she provides much hope for even bigger things at Saratoga for him. Tony not only races the filly, but bred her from his very good runner, Awakened Beauty -- you gotta love it when one of the good guys has some success!

OK -- all the best to you and yours - enjoy the 4th!
