1st Race For Stephanie

It has been some time in coming, but Stephanie's Secret made her first start on November 13 -- with quite a good showing of Bliss partners there to root her on for her maiden voyage.  Other than NYRA not being able to find our silks, the race went without incident and the filly did a nice job for her first outing -- she broke with the field, dropped back and then made a mild run to pass tiring horses in the stretch.  Her gallop out was quite good and all this was done on a surface she appeared not to relish -- she didn't have the smoothest action you would want to see as she made her way around the turf course. In the photo above, Stephanie's Secret with the field the first time past the stands. It was exciting to be there and much of the fun was in anticipation of seeing how she would do -- it was also nice to see others take note of her.  The following appeared in a Blood Horse blog prior to the race touting Stephanie and the Arch filly who won the race: Stephanie's Secret (Dunkirk - Double Doubleville by Mt. Livermore) is ...

Rub a dub dub!

With Stephanie's Secret working down at Belmont -- she didn't seem to relish the going on the Oklahoma track -- we don't have a lot to report.  However, I do have some purdy pictures to share.   The latest with Stephanie's Secret is that she worked from the gate on Saturday, 10/19/13 and appeared to do it well.  We still have hope that she will race at 2 -- that decision will be made shortly.      In the meantime, enjoy these pictures of the beautiful Stephanie's Secret at bath time on the Oklahoma track:     The very pretty Stephanie's Secret gets a bath at the Oklahoma track prior to heading down to Belmont for training.  Stephanie's Secret's last work -- 10/19/13 will hopefully set her up for her first trip to the races.  If only she can run as good as she looks!!! Farm life is quite different from on-track training as the photos below demonstrate.  Our former runner Bella Attrice, winner of over $230K during her racing career, now enjoys the life of a broodmare on the farm in Fort Edward.  She is seen below taking carrots from visitors and posing with a little mud on her after her recent roll in the paddock -- ...

Welcome Back!

Welcome to the revised Bliss Racing Web site -- hopefully the new look and functionality will make it easier for you to keep updated on your horses.   It has been some time since I have had an operational Web site and I'm happy to say that over the next few weeks I will be updating the site to keep you posted on the horses.   The new site should allow me to post videos as well as photos - it's supposed to anyway -- and I hope that I will soon become adept at that. In addition, there now is a "partners only" area that will require you to login to access information just for you.  This will be information we do not want freely available to anyone visiting the site and will include such things as special updates on the horses and details of the business side of Bliss.  Look for me to send you login information within the next few weeks. Since it has been so long, I will provide an update on both the racing and the breeding side of things to be sure we're all on the same page: Stephanie's Secret - the 2 year old Dunkirk filly ...
